Good crust. Chicken wing pizza was very tasty and service was friendly. Not a bad lunch!

This was one of my favorite places as a kid to eat. I've always liked their pizza, always ordering it with onions (the best topping on pizza). Their red sauce is nice and hearty and thankfully doesn't taste like watery tomatoes. Their vodka sauce is pretty good as well. The piggy soup is delicious and easily one of the best soups that I have ever had. They can get crowded so if you are going for dinner, on the weekend especially, call ahead and reserve a table. If you are looking for expertly crafted Italian food, The Dough Company is not that place and it does not pretend to be. Though for a good dinner that kind of tastes like you remember as a child, The Dough Company is a nice place to grab some food.

Average at best, but inexpensive. I had the chicken Parma, which was 2 small breasts with bread crumbs poured on then cheese n sauce n baked. I also tried a "homemade" meatball, which was basically devoid of flavor. The spaghetti side was obviously cooked some time around the beginning the month. Is it too much to ask for an Italian rest to spend 6 minutes n boil fresh pasta ? I went in at 3pm, and plenty of people were there, so maybe I just ordered poorly (pasta, sauce, meatball n day special of chicken Parma). The butter on the supermarket-bought Italian bread was good!! :)

Love the pizza. I always get the large with EXTRA sauce. The pie comes swimming in sauce. Whenever I travel through the area I ALWAYS stop here. It fits my meal allowance with plenty of room to spare. So I can get the extra mug of frosty Yeungling lager. Service is always prompt. Decor is basic and is certainly family friendly. I wish they would open a place in my hometown (Albany). Kids always want me to bring a pie home with me cause the crust is thin and tasty....did I mention the swimming in sauce.

My husband is gluten free & we finally found a place that not only has a gluten free pizza but one that he truly enjoyed. We will definitely be back.

Good food, great prices, great service! It could use a little sprucing up though.

One of my favorite pizza places in Wilkes-Barre. Fair warning before I talk about any food: If you're planning on going on a Friday or Saturday night, especially with a big group, plan ahead! You will be waiting a while as it is almost always busy during these nights. And during Lent...whoa! The only items I ever get here are various kinds of pizza (usually chicken wing or BBQ chicken) and they are always good. I pretty much never eat my crust on pizza or bread, but I do actually eat it here! My favorite app is the cheese filled bread sticks; they're delicious, especially with some marinara to dip them in. They also have something called dough-zones, which I guess you can say is similar to stromboli, but not quite. Whatever it is, it's awesome! Loaded with lots of chicken and cheese (if you're rolling with a chicken one, that is). It's usually my go-to item here!

I went with my new inlaws to the Dough Company this week. It was my first time there and it had been a while since they had been.. But they really enjoyed it before. The service was SOOOOOO slow. It took about 45 minutes from the time we ordered till the time dinner came out... We all ordered pasta.. My mother inlaw was so disappointed, she ordered rigatoni with meatballs, it was cold and had sausage. Nobody was happy with their meal.. In fact we were all going to get desert but everything was so slow we didn't bother.

It's our favorite pizza in the valley. The food is good and reasonably priced. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't deliver.

Here is an update on the Dough Company: I have been there a few times in the last few months, and the food qaulity has consistently went down hill. I have had better microwaved frozen pasta dinners from the freezer. I also received under-cooked chicken on one of my last visits, which I promptly sent back without requesting a replacement, just removal of the food from my bill. I won't be coming back, which is a sad thing, because I used to enjoy this place .

Waitresses friendly, and efficient. Had pigs in a blanket soup. Pretty good. Penne with vodka sauce -- penne overcooked and soft. Sauce was a bit thin, and surprisingly spicy for vodka sauce. Pumpkin pie for desert -- standard fare. Overall prices were just right for portions and quality ( though disappointed in penne)

Dough Company is great. Waitresses are friendly and the food is pretty good. I always love having their home-made chicken soup! Their coupons and offers are pretty cool too. :)

I was driving home from Wheeling, West Virginia the other day, and I needed gas, food, and to let Ben leave a deposit in another state. On I-80 I picked an exit that had a bunch of restaurants on the highway sign. I got off at this exit, and drove down the road until I found a non-chain restaurant. I used the Burger King parking lot to let Ben leave his deposit, and to let him have some water and stretch his legs. Then I went into The Dough Company and had lunch. It was fairly empty, but it was about 2:00 in the afternoon. I ordered a bowl of the broccoli soup and a pepperoni, salami, sausage, mushroom and onion Stromboli. The soup was very tasty and pretty thick. I liked it. The Stromboli was awesome. When I took my first bite, I realized why they are called the Dough Company. The dough was awesome. I can't think of the words to explain it, but it had the right texture and flavor. The sausage had a lot of flavor in it. The people were nice and friendly. Not obtrusive, and not disappearing for long periods of time. It was a nice relaxing meal. If you are in the area, I would recommend checking it out.

Ok I am addicted to the DOUGH COMPANY'S hot chicken wing pizza. I live in los angeles so I can only get it when I go to visit and I always bring a bunch back on the plane. The resturant is very clean and the service is always first class. Others who I dine with here rave about their dishes they order. I wish they would open a dough company here so I can have hot chicken wing pizza every day. The prices are also resonable and lots of parking.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
